Прикривени сукоби: откривање узрока недовољно пријављених и невидљивих ратова
Sažetak
Ова студија има за циљ да идентификује неопходне и довољне услове који доприносе категоризацији одређених сукоба као „невидљивих“, што значи да су значајни, али недовољно пријављени или занемарени, за разлику од сукоба о којима медији добро извештавају. Фокусирајући се на случајеве у Азији и Африци од 2014. до 2024. године, истраживање користи квалитативну компаративну анализу (КЦА) како би проценило шест услова да би сукоб био препознат као прикривени сукоб који произилази из Хокинсове теорије која објашњава да се сукоби занемарују када кључни актери ( креатори политике, медији, јавност и академска заједница) нису ангажовани због фактора као што су национални/политички интереси, географски близина и приступ, способност идентификације са учесницима сукоба, способност саосећања са жртвама, једноставност (колико је лако разумети сукоб) и сензационализам (укључује догађаје који су драматични и привлаче пажњу). Наши налази сугеришу да су недостатак једноставности и ограничени сензационализам кључни фактори у ометању видљивости сукоба, посебно у регионима попут Западне Папуе и Белуџистана. Анализа открива да постоје два неопходна услова и три довољна услова који утичу на видљивост сукоба.
