Snalaženje u muškom domenu: rod, rad i nejednakosti na indijskim platformama za dostavu hrane
Sažetak
U sve većem diskursu o radu u gig ekonomiji, iskustvo žena koje rade na gig pozicijama ostaje nedovoljno istraženo. Presek specifične organizacije rada na platformama za gig rad i postojećih rodno obojenih društvenih normi proizvodi različite ishode u različitim kontekstima. Ovaj rad istražuje kako radnice u dostavi hrane ulaze, opstaju i snalaze se na indijskim platformama za dostavu hrane – sektoru koji se u velikoj meri smatra „muškim“ domenom. Koristeći kvalitativni istraživački pristup, ova studija se oslanja na 20 polustrukturiranih intervjua sa ženama i muškarcima koji rade na glavnim platformama za dostavu hrane u Tiruvanantapuramu, u Indiji. Rezultati pokazuju kako se rodne društvene norme odražavaju i reprodukuju u politikama i praksama platformi za dostavu hrane. Ovakva dinamika ograničava učešće žena, oblikuje njihovo radno vreme i na kraju povećava razliku u zaradi između muškaraca i žena na platformama za dostavu hrane. U ovom radu naglašena je potreba za politikama i praksama koje promovišu pozitivnu diskriminaciju kako bi se povećalo učešće ženske radne snage i osigurala ravnopravna zarada, i istovremeno negovali dostojanstveni i inkluzivni uslovi rada u okviru gig ekonomije.
