ENCOURAGMENT OF ARTISTIC CREATIVITY OF STUDENTS IN THE ZONE OF PROXIMAL DEVELOPMENT

The goal of the study is to experimentally examine the possibility of encouraging artistic creativity in the zone of proximal development. Cooperation with the more competent person enables the pupils to solve more complex tasks more successfully than they would independently, thereby practicing those functions. This progress was monitored before and after the assignment of visual, verbal, and auditory levels of assistance during the solving of art tasks. The instrument used is an adapted version of the LV1 test. The participants were pupils in the sixth grade of elementary school in Trebinje. The results of the research indicated that the pupil showed improvement in all tasks and it was much easier to do the testing after the experimental program which was designed to monitor the zone of proximal development. These results are considered in the context of Vygotsky’s theory. The paper discusses the theoretical and practical implications and possibilities of encouraging artistic creativity in the zone of proximal development.

THE INFLUENCE OF TRADITIONAL MEDIA ON YOUNG PEOPLE IN SERBIA IN THE ERA OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

The main hypothesis of this study aimed to investigate the decreasing interaction of young individuals with traditional media in the era of digital technologies. The research involved 300 students from various higher education institutions in Serbia, who responded to six sets of questions. The first four sets employed the Likert scale method, while in the fifth and sixth sets, students provided open-ended responses to specific questions. Based on the obtained results, it was evident that traditional media have a limited influence on the younger generation and are not their primary source of information. Thus, the findings confirm assertions that the principal drivers for the current changes in daily habits are the emergence of the internet, social media, and the general advancement of digital technologies.

Actuality of Life of Gerasim Zelić - Evidence of a Time and/or Lesson for the Future

Gerasim Zelić (1752-1828), archimandrite of the Krupa Monastery in Dalmatia, was one of the most famous Serbs of his time and a great traveler. The only written trace of his many travels is the autobiography of the Life of Gerasim Zelić. In that work, he describes important political events throughout Europe, the Middle East and Russia, which he witnessed or directly participated in. His analytical and storytelling gift presented in the Life of Gerasim Zelić is a good basis for understanding the political relations between the East and the West at the time, but also the wider context through which the similarities and differences between the mentioned cultural circles were interwoven. In this sense, the goals of this research are synchronic and diachronic. In the first case, we will try to present and critically analyze Zelić's perception of the events he describes as their contemporary. At the same time, we will try to determine the current relevance of his insights presented in the aforementioned work. We will approach the analysis of the mentioned work through an appreciation of the hermeneutic perspective, i.e. appreciation of the mutual relationship between the past and the present. The results of our research indicate that the Life of Gerasim Zelić is a work that transcends the framework of the time in which it was created, because the context of mutual (mis)understanding of East and West has not changed since then.

Application of Storytelling in political public relations

Storytelling is one of the techniques in public relations. Its application is based on man's need to transpone life into stories and psychological mechanisms that make people think through metaphors and share a common experience through mythical and archetypal motifs deeply embedded in their collective unconscious. Sociological observations of narratives emphasize the important role of stories in the construction of the self and collectivity, in the establishing and maintenance of social authorities, while treating the story as a critical and even liberating discursive form. Global insecurity and modern technologies have increased the use of webcasting in various media, which, in the era of information blizzard, identity hyperproduction and the tribal character of the Internet, turns out to be an effective tool for the promotion of political candidates, for which this research offers a number of illustrative examples from different political and cultural milieus

Value of Information in the Post-Truth Era

By reviewing the findings obtained thus far, this paper analyzes the impact of information and communication technologies (ICT) on the formation and availability of valuable informations. It is hypothesized that ICT has made the process of reaching valuable information easier and more difficult at the same time. By using scientific method of analysis, the overall goal of the study has been achieved, that is, a critical view of the role of ICT in having simultaneously accelerated and facilitated the formation, dissemination, and storage/availability of valuable information – but also led to unprecedented information disorder. By undermining people’s need to base decisions, attitudes, and opinions on valuable informations, the post-truth society erode one of the essential functions of the media, that is information.
