Sažetak
Регионална интеграција заузима све значајније место у савременим међународним односима и неопходно ју је анализирати из два угла: 1 - као политичка, економска и безбедносна целина која у значајној мери детерминише позиционирање политичких ентитета одређеног региона на сцени међународних односа; 2 - као политичка, економска и безбедносна целина која пружа могућности и капацитете за суочавање са савременим и текућим изазовима, ризицима и претњама. Основно истраживачко питање је у којој мери регионална сарадња на Западном Балкану детерминише одрживост ентитета који улазе у саставу предметног регионалног окружења. Циљ је да се докаже теза о томе да је регионална сарадња, координација и интеграција на Западном Балкану, уз апсолутно уважавање националних интереса политичких ентитета, императив у савременим међународним односима, у процесима суочавања са савременим изазовима, ризицима и претњама, али и у свеобухватном процесу креирања одрживости, како на регионалној, тако и на националној равни.
